Here at CHRIS Cintos de Segurança, we believe it is our responsibility to promote practices that respect the environment and encourage social development. We are proud to present our project in partnership with Badu Design, an initiative that combines sustainable fashion and socio-environmental responsibility.
The importance of waste management
According to the Brazilian Association of Public Cleaning and Special Waste Companies (Abrelpe), Brazil generates approximately 179 million tons of solid waste annually. Given this scenario, managing non-recyclable waste has become an urgent challenge. In response to this problem, CHRIS has committed to transforming waste into new opportunities.
The partnership with Badu Design
Badu Design, founded by Ariane Santos, is a Brazilian institution that stands out in the production of artifacts from production leftovers, such as backpacks and bags. In addition to creating sustainable fashion, Badu Design is committed to social projects that empower women in sewing, design, and entrepreneurship, providing new income opportunities and improving their quality of life.
This partnership between CHRIS and Badu Design aims to create innovative products from industrial leftovers, specifically seatbelt webbing. Together, we not only promote the circular economy but also contribute to social inclusion and the empowerment of women.

We donate shoelaces in different colors every month, all ready to be transformed into incredible pieces. This collaboration not only reinforces our commitment to sustainability but also gives new life to materials that would otherwise be discarded. The result? A vibrant and meaningful collection. Together, we transform and demonstrate that it is possible to create fashion responsibly and innovatively.
REPENSE Collection in the iconic Times Square
In September 2024, Badu Design had the honor of participating in New York Fashion Week with the innovative REPENSE Collection, created from waste from webbing of our seatbelt laces, demonstrating how leftovers can be transformed into high-quality art and fashion. With exclusive pieces, Badu Design presented the collection at Brazilian Fashion Day, in New York, at the invitation of the Brazilian Consulate in New York, USA.
REPENSE Collection in charming Paris
Last December, Badu Design, with exclusive pieces produced from the webbing of our seatbelts, presented the REPENSE collection in Paris. The models, along with authentic wearable accessories, enable you to create looks in various styles, ranging from basic to luxurious.
